onlinelifedreams>worldwide>lifestyle>online yoga list.                     Most popular 40 yoga websites list

siddhayoga:Contact information and websites for Siddha Yoga meditation centers and ...To find a local website about the Siddha Yoga path, visit the list of websites.
GreenYogaThe online home of the Green Yoga Association, a northern California-based organization keen on promoting eco-friendly living and action through all aspects of yoga. They’re most well-known for their programs helping yoga studios and events operate more sustainably, along with green getaways and helpful newsletters.
YoganomicsNew in the online yoga scene, this website was started by former Yoga Journalemployee Brian Castellani. Initially inspired by the focus on yoga regulations and licensing, “Yoganomics’ mission statement is to be the blueprint of yoga development as an intuitive and collaborative ‘self help’ resource guide for any yoga teacher, yoga business, or community of yoga.” So far, he’s accomplishing this goal through an online marketplace, blog articles, videos, and a growing social community.
YoganonymousAnother newer website, Yoganonymous features teacher profiles, spotlighted studios, upcoming events, giveaways, free mix-tape-style music collections, and intelligent articles (including those by some Elephant Journal writers!).
YogaTodayOne of the first (and still one of the best) online yoga class websites, Yoga Today’s classes are filmed in beautiful studios and gorgeous Southwest outdoor locations. With qualified instructors, three membership options (yes, free is an option) and over 200 classes to choose from, Yoga Today is one of the biggest online collections of full-length yoga classes.
MindBodyGreenStarted as a user-submitted eco-news site, MindBodyGreen has grown into a professionally-written, regularly-updated wellness website. Of course, being a wellness site, they have a whole section decided to yoga (and Pilates), featuring news, pose instructions, and interviews with celebrities and yoga professionals.
Life.Gaiam: Part of the conscious-lifestyle shop Gaiam, the Life.Gaiam.com website is all about – you guessed it – living a better life through health-based, spiritual, and sustainable practices. One of my favorite features is their Yoga Answers and Solutions Go-To Guide, a great introduction to the many articles, videos, and DVDs the site has to offer on the subject of yoga.
WholeLivingMs. Martha Stewart maintains a regular yoga practice, so it comes as no surprise that her healthy living magazine, Whole Living (previously Body+Soul), features over 100 pages about yoga, including pranayama (breathing) and strength-training focused practices.
YogaDorkIn its 3rd year, Yoga Dork is a great, often-updated blog about the latest in yoga news, including Hollywood and yoga celebrities, books, DVDs, medical studies, and more. The folks that comment aren’t afraid to be opinionated, so interesting conversations ensue regularly.
YogaJournalYeah, I know I’m going to get some hate (e)mail for putting Yoga Journal Magazine’s website at number one, but the truth is the truth: YJ’s site has the biggest collection of articles about yoga, including numerous home practices and detailed pose instructions. If you want a great yoga website, you need to include not only the lifestyle of yoga, but also the detailed complexity of the practice itself – after all, the practice of yoga is the one thing all us yogis have in common.

Website class listings guide for yoga teachers
  Yogapages -
This site is run by the same people who run the Yoga Show each year. Yogapages ask that you create a link to their website from your own website if you have one.
On Yogapages you create a one-off teacher profile and then a class record for each class you teach. As your teacher profile can be viewed from any of your class records, your class information should be only that specific to the class. You can post a couple of images against your teacher profile and I would recommend that you do this to help make your entry stand out. Ensure that the image you use is high enough resolution to display correctly in your class listing.
You have to specify what type of yoga you are teaching, choosing from a list, this being one of the criteria that enquirers can search on. Class listings on Yogapages are by county. Within county they are sorted by start date. Initially just a summary of the entries is displayed listing the class title, start and end dates and the location. From your summary entry your full class details can be displayed.
To see how it all works, goto www.omyogapages.co.uk then Yoga Classes / Buckinghamshire and then select the entry General Yoga Class for Weedon to view my Weedon yoga class. Click on “Paul Blissett” to see my teacher details followed by all my other classes. Click on “Contact Teacher” to see how an enquirer will contact you electronically. Hopefully everything is now becoming clear and you can see how you would need to set up your own entries!
Note that there is no point trying to format your entries with paragraphs in the Yogapages listings as your text will always be displayed as a single paragraph.
You can also create records for one-off events and courses on Yogapages. These are all classed as Yoga Retreats by Yogapages. YHET create a Yogapages entry for all YHET events. As with class listings, summary entries only are displayed initially (N.B. always ensure that the location for your event appears in the summary listing. If you don’t do this people have to select your event just to see where it is – something they may not bother to do!)
To see how this works in practice, select Yoga Retreats / United Kingdom and then select the “Domus Mariae Yoga Residential Weekend” entry. These run several times a year so there is normally one listed. Otherwise pick a non-YHET event and have a look at that instead.
This will display details for the weekend. Note that the picture displayed for the detail entry is a larger version (Max 1MB) of that shown against the summary entry previously. If you click on the entry in the Company field you will see how this has been defined within Yoga Pages. All currently live events are displayed, both individually and also under your personal profile entry. You can have permanent entries set up for your events and just edit them and set them live when you need to. Turn them off so that they do not appear in the Yogapages listings when they are over until you need them again and just make whatever changes you need – this is easier than recreating them from scratch each time
Important - to keep events and classes listed beyond their end date, which cannot be more than a year ahead whether live or suspended, you must extend the end date before the event expires, otherwise you will have to set it up again from the beginning!
This site allows you to search for the nearest class, event or holiday to a particular postcode. It displays the closest one first, followed by those progressively further away.
To see how it works, select “Class” as the type of event to search for, then type in HP22 4NW. If you select my Weedon class entry you can see details of the class, my teacher details and a location map. If you go back to the original search and scroll down much further to find my Winslow classes then you can see how listings for multiple classes at the same location are displayed.
Yoga Nearby uses the concept of a teaching location as well as teacher profile and individual class entries. You set up your location(s) and then as many classes / events as you need at each location. This makes it easy to enter multiple classes for a single location.
Yoga Nearby assumes by default that all classes run every week. Unlike Yogapages, you cannot suspend an individual class temporarily, but you can register yourself as inactive to suspend all your classes – handy if you go to India for three months, I guess! Unlike Yogapages classes on Yoga Nearby NEVER expire so you need to delete any that you stop running.
You can upload up to five images with Yoga Nearby. They are displayed as small square thumbnails initially on the system but in their original aspect ratio when you click on them.
When setting up workshop / holidays as distinct from classes then you do specify start and end dates.
To see how a holiday entry can appear on the system, select “Holiday” as the event type you want on the initial yoganearby.com welcome screen and type IG8 – this will show the YHET Domus Mariae events currently listed.
This is a subsection of the Ruth White Yoga Products website, http://www.ruthwhiteyoga.com/shop (which is actually nothing to do with Ruth White anymore!).
The Local Yoga Classes site allows you to search by either county or town for classes. You can also optionally specify the category of yoga you searching for. When you create a class entry, you can also enter the town(s), if any, that are nearby so that they will appear when people search for those towns.
Unlike Yogapages and Yoga Nearby, when you first create your class entries they are manually vetted before being included on the website. This should take a few days or so but I had to remind them at which point they appeared promptly! Unlike both Yogapages and Yoga Nearby, where enquiries come via forms the enquirer completes on the respective websites, here enquirers email you direct rather than via a contact form on the website. There is no facility to suspend a class – you would have to delete it and set it up again.
As usual, summary class details are shown for any classes that match your search parameters, listed alphabetically by location. You can display a map of the class location, details of the class or details of the teacher. The class and teacher details open as popup windows rather than a new screen and you have to close each popup you open manually before you can open another one.one
